I was in London last week and as I sat having a coffee watching the world around me go by I was struck by something; the amount of people who are living their days through screens and mobile devices.
We are all looking down at a world a million miles from our actual reality, and in doing so we miss what’s right in front of us. Or if we are looking at the world around us we are often saying ‘I can’t wait until……’
In our busy day-to-day lives there is a tendency to be so focused on what lies ahead that we forget to stop and live in the moment.
It doesn’t matter where in the world we are, be it in the middle of a busy city, or the tranquility of the countryside, there is beauty and happiness to be found everywhere.
So stop, put the device down, take the time to pause for a moment and take a look around, live in this moment for a while, you might be surprised at what you see and feel.
The place to be happy is here, the time to be happy is now. Live your life in the moment and not for the moment.
