‘It doesn’t work’. How many of us have heard those exact words when it comes to network marketing? I’ve honestly lost count of the number of people who have said that to me over the years. I used to get defensive, yet now I simply smile, shrug my shoulders and say ‘do you know what, you’re probably right it doesn’t work’.
As I, and so many others in this incredible industry know, it does work and it has the potential to change not only your life, but your friends and family’s lives too. Only in order for it to work you need to approach it with an open mind, you need to be willing to go against the grain and be prepared to do something different.
We all start at the same point in our respective businesses and companies, we all have the same products, the same marketing plan, the same support system from the company, yet some make a success of it, and some don’t. So what’s the difference? It’s simple, the difference is the person doing the business. If you want network marketing to work you will make it do just that, yet on the flip side if you are not prepared to make it work, guess what, it won’t.
You don’t see people signing up for a medical degree only to quit after six months saying ‘there’s no point training to be a doctor, that doesn’t work’. Network marketing is no different, it’s a profession that needs to be learnt, their are certain skills that need to be mastered and a mindset that needs to be fostered in order for you to be successful.
That then some people do quit after a few months claiming that it doesn’t work, all because they haven’t had instant overnight success, still amazes me. What’s more they then go and tell the world that network marketing doesn’t work, yet what they fail to mention is that they didn’t apply themselves properly which is why it didn’t work for them.
I understand that what we do isn’t for everybody, and that’s ok as we are all different. Some people would rather live a safe life, going from pay cheque to pay cheque month after month, year after year. But for those who dare to be different, for those that have big dreams and a desire for a better life we have a way that enables them to achieve all of that and so much more. They just need to believe that it does work.
